SO VOTE
consensus that scales
An open-source decision-making platform built on a simple belief:
giving people a direct, meaningful voice in everyday decisions that affect them reduces conflict, improves coordination, and leads to better outcomes.
Not just voting on outcomes — but shaping how decisions themselves are made.
One person, one vote,
8 billion lives.
Human life is nuanced.
Our decision-making tools are not.
Rethink the fundamentals
With democratic backsliding across the world it's clear traditional systems of governance are crumbling. The need for modern alternatives has never been more clear.
But most digital democracy platforms start with old assumptions:
They inherit simplified models of governance and try to scale them upward.
But governance isn’t the root problem.
Cooperation is.
We lack a shared, adaptive fabric that allows humans to:
Democracy needs to out-compete existing systems of human cooperation.

A Solution
So Vote models decisions as living objects that groups can propose, shape, challenge, and refine over time.
Instead of voting once on a fixed question, participants interact with shared subjects that evolve through structured input.
A subject is anything a group can decide on.
From outcomes to the rules that govern those outcomes.
It may represent a proposal, parameter, definition, structure, or shared value.
Start at the grassroots
Before anything, we must understand:
So begin with small communities, gain real-world feedback, and scale incrementally.
Do not assume the final form of democracy.
Discover it through use.
Where are we now and where are we going?
